This year Bambi will be curating her 4th Open House and exhibiting a solo show at Zona Rosa (formerly Spinelli’s) in College road, Kemptown to display a wider range of her art.
Having trained in the fields of Textile Design and Graphic Design in the late 90’s, much of her work is in digital format using photo editing software and digital imagery.
Wanting a new challenge, in 2014 she put brush to canvas for the first time in 20 years and began to paint. Starting with figurative pieces at first, she then moved on to painting portraits. Her latest works combine all three of these mediums.
Her style is bold, colourful and slightly surreal, producing work on the themes of female sexuality, social injustice and political satire.
