I was born in Dublin and spent most of my childhood in France. I studied art at Kingston Polytechnic and gained a BA (Hons) degree at Wimbledon School of Art. Having lived in Teddington for many years, Barry and I moved to Brighton in 2006.
I find inspiration in my immediate environment as well as places I visit in England and abroad. I try to bring new life to places, flowers and objects with vibrant colours and a strong rhythm of line. Art should make you smile and be uplifting. I am currently working on some Jazz images influenced by a recent trip to Memphis and New Orleans. I have exhibited widely in the UK including the Royal Academy. My work is in private and corporate collections in England, the USA and Australia.
